Softie are u
Sitting in office on chair like someone has glued you with it for 10 hours ,continuous stare at the Mail box , Air Conditioner working hard to suck the heat out of 200 Human brains to recycle the thought process is the life of a Software Engineer. Few breaks to washrooms, rest rooms, Pantry and a huge crowd gathering in cafeteria's to beat the not so profound hunger with army of men serving you sandwiches, Burgers, Chips, Pizzas, Pastries and all that you can image to take you out of your depressing state. Women's continuous chats over what is right and what is not, to make you healthier while hogging over the plate of bhel puri chat. Men standing outside Office area in Smoking zone with puffs in air discussing different phases of life.
Back to work with continuous gaze to Laptops, fingers working in sync as if typing the love letter to their beloved. Pin drop silence with hooting of shoes in background with entry of people at desk area every now and then. We drive to work for almost an hour or more and get sitting in office for so long, then driving back again to give rest to our burning ashes out of pain. You reach home, and family is waiting for you with wide smile on there faces as if to start the day afresh. But it is the end of the day for a Software Engineer who is supposed to be paid high for their high living standards and live a luxurious life.
Here we are increasing the economy of foreign land with no contribution to our own Bharat Mata who will with whole heart confined us within itself once the Death Bed is ready. I always wondered, did I really wanted to be a software engineer ? Is this the life I ever dreamed of ? A Hotel Management course would have give me more self satisfaction and the real zeal of life then this. I was always this girl next door who wanted to settle down, have family, raise kid with values and see them grow :) They say, Life is what you make it and I am on the wheel !!!
Dedicated to all my Softie Friends :)

Holi v/s sweetness
Jolie, Molly, Tolly, bura na mano aagayi Holi.
The festival of colors which brings along unity and happiness. Been a huge fan of this fest, colors and sweets are the ones I have been waiting for 365 days. One such festival where all age group tend to behave childish, kiddish and out of there senses. This years Holi was not such a hit as I was slogging in office but I made that little time out on sunday to play colorful with my son. Until you have a kid at home, you will never realize the fun of holi when you take responsibility of making sweets for kids, playing with them, and encouraging the little ones to take a step further and hit the others with Balloons filled with colorful water. I know, the chemicals in holi colors are harmful but still this one day we can take chance ;)
Journey Begins ----------->
The fine memory of my childhood where I have seen parents playing holi with friends. Men throwing water, mud, colors over Ladies, throwing them in pool of water and when they are done, its ladies turn to make korda out of there dupatt's and then start hitting Men for the mischief. It was fun watching the play every holi, and feels bad when your dad gets a hit from any lady in group. But, as they say --> Bura na mano holi hai :) I remember playing holi with my childhood friend -> Dimpi (Sumita sharma) where we both will sit under handpump, turn wise, we will shed water on each other. As I grew, I started developing allergy with the chemicals and with instructions from Dad, was not allowed to play Holi. But, the day I entered College, there was this big change, he never stopped me and in those 4 years of my Engineering, I have played to my best. Every Holi, my college friends will visit my house, we played holi on roof-top, danced to our best and had Holi sweets and North indian Lunch. Gosh, I just can't forget the fun. And when I got married, I had gala time with my Dewars Adi and Ashu on my First holi after Marriage :) And this years(2014) holi, was fun playing with lucky. For the first time, I prepared Sweets on my own and want to share the recipe with who so ever is interested.

Mother with worries
A week has past and I am busy monitoring my kid for the allergic reactions which are turning him into a cranky and itchy boy. This all started in October 2013 when suddenly one fine morning, lucky starting sneezing frequently. To avoid sneezing take a toll on his health, Me and my MIL immediately took lucky to a near by pediatrician who consulted him and gave few cold syrups and Meftal-p for fever. As new parents and not so experienced in field of medicines, generally parents tend to believe each and everything of doc's advise without thinking about the affects of these allopathy treatments on kids. As per doc's suggestion, we gave 4ml of Meftal-P to Lucky around 9:00PM in evening and made him go to bed. It was mid-night that, he started itching over his ears badly and me and hubby were continuously rubbing his ears and body to make him sleep in comfort and by this time we had no idea what is happening to him. Suddenly Hubby switched on lights to have some water and in those few seconds I saw, my sons ear were swollen to heck like an elephant ear and his forehead was out of its normal size and his face was completely swollen. Allergy reactions were increasing drastically over his body and on advise of in-laws, we were applying oil on his ear but which had zero affect. Around 3 in morning, we finally decided to take rush to hospital. We were admitted immediately and lucky was injected with high dose of drugs. It took 7 days for him to recover completely. This allergy occurred every time he developed fever and we took him to same doc who treated him for allergy. But, now this was getting out of my hands and I can no longer see my son suffer this way, so we decided to change the doc and get him treated the best. We went to Columbia Asia for his treatment and two consecutive visit to the hospital reveled, the allergic reaction is due to fever and it would rise as fever rises and will go once fever goes. So, today on 6th day, lucky is in good shape without any medicines and treatment and any drugs. Its advisable to consult more then one doc in case of serious reoccurring illness.
Today is fine and playing with his all time favorite Doremon :)
Doc's Advise for Parents/Future Parent :
Meftal -P : --> Give this medicine to your kid only if he has fever above 102 degree C. Untill his body temp rises to 102, it is better to give him sponge bath with luke warm water over hands and leg (Not over Head) to lower his body temp. Check if your kid have allergy with any medicine.
Cold : no medicine for cold. Give a little brandy at night diluted with water.
Cough : Give a tea spoonful of honey at night before sleep to kid.
Hope this is helpful :)

Aradhya's Saraswati Connection
13th Feb'2014, a day before the D Valentine's Day, considered a very auspicious day for pooja and yes we had to utilize this day for a good cause without missing any time. Hence,we decided to perform my Little ones Saraswati Pooja. Lucky sleeps till 11 AM in morning, but this day was important and the toughest task was to make him get ready for pooja early morning. So, someone I managed to play a good role and make him ready for pooja with him crying during bath session and convincing him to wear traditional kurta pajama. Someone I did a great job in minimum time I had and pooja started at 10:30 AM. My Father-in-law is well versed with Sanskrit and performed Pooja. Lucky was almost getting dozed off during pooja with laying over his Daddies lap every now and then. Pooja lasted for an hour and finally my little baby was relieved. He enjoyed it more as he had his favourite Book and pencil to accompany him. He worshipped Saraswati Ma and offered flowers and prashad. We made him write complete alphabets on his first book. And the Sarawati connection was so effective that while we went for walk in evening, he took his book and pencil along :) May Saraswali Ma shower her blessings on my little one and make him a good and sensible human being :) Some pics .............
